 Director                  

 Juliane Von Sivers was born in 1983 in Halle (Saale), Germany.

After she finished her general education she started to work as an assistant director for Thalia Theater Halle (2003 - 2006). There she directed "Perlino" by Fabrice Melquiot and "Boerse des Wissens" an interactive theatre game. Her responsibilities next to assisting and directing also included script reading and festival organisation. In 2007 she went abroad and worked as assistant director in Dublin, Ireland for Companies such as Guna Nua and Pan Pan. In September 2007 she started the MFA directing Programme at East 15/Essex University in London. During her education she continued pursuing her professional career while assisting Mick Gordon with "Deep Cut" by Philip Ralph at the Traverse (Edinburgh Festival 2008). She directed "The Woman Before" by Roland Schimmelpfennig in September 2009 for the Soho Theatre studio which transferred to the Brockley Jack Theatre for an extended run. Thereafter she directed "No idea" by Tom Ellen for the OffCut Festival at the Old Red Lion Theatre for which she won the Best Director Panel Award. She co-directed the short film "Penthesilea". In March 2010 she participated for the first time in Bare Bones Nights directing "Waiting for Dafoe" by Tom Ellen which she since turned into a short film and a radio play working with the same cast.

 Mike Miller

Mike Miller is a self-taught writer, for many forms, and a director for the stage. He studied Theatre Arts at Northern Kentucky University and graduated as a BFA. After working professionally for a year while interning as a Director at Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, he decided to travel to London, England where he studied Directing for Theatre at East 15 Acting School. Philip Robins (Jacob Grimm)


Jonathan Hansler (Wilhelm Grimm) has been nominated " Best Performer" for Maurice in the Off West End awards 2010. An accomplished actor,Jonathan also has a background in stand up, sketch comedy & played Peter Cook in his play "Goodbye The( After) life of Cook & Moore" recently seen at Ashcroft Croydon, Leicester Sq Theatre, & Gilded Balloon Edinburgh .He is currently writing the feature film version,. He will shoot the lead role of Raymone an alcoholic rock star in the feature Eric & Raymone in August. & the role of Piccolo Londo,a sinister spanish artist in the film of Luke Reinharts novel Naked Before The World n Majorca this year.  His recent work includes Kurt Wendell the unhinged lead in the forthcoming horror feature Axed..Also lead Neil Garnham QC in the feature The Victoria Climbie Inquiry based on the dramatisation which was Time Out Critics Choice at the Hackney Empire in 2002.& Constable Cuddles in the Ealing Comedy style feature The Drummond Will to be seen soon.

Seeing Red

 Director

Rebecca Adamson trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and is currently producer and director for Bare Bones Nights, Saturday Matinée @ The Old Queens Head and Made in Hackney at the New Arcola Theatre, Dalston. She previously worked as an actress in English and Welsh appearing both in TV and theatre productions across the UK. Then, following a stint working on the production side of stadium tours for Elton John, George Michael and Paul McCartney she returned to theatre where she turned her focus to directing and producing.

 

Playwright

Charlie Hughes D'Aeth is a playwright, director and voice coach, currently working in the voice dept at the RSC.
Writing for theatre, her work has included an adaptation of Therese Raquin - Gardner Arts, Brighton 2006; An Inspector Falls - commissioned for The Police Federation Annual Conference 2003 and Chaos Theory - Winner of Sussex Playwrights' Competition 2000. She has had several plays commissioned for Rose Bruford College. Her monologue, 'Jobsworth' was first performed at The Carriageworks in Leeds in February 2009 and later in the Brighton Fringe where it was deemed 'a beautifully paced and cleverly observed monologue' by Brighton Fringe Review.

 Nari Blair-Mangat (Joe) trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama where credits include Othello in Othello, Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream, the Inspector in Accidental Death of an Anarchist and Monsiuer Maillard in A Guest for Dinner , a devised piece directed by Maxine Doyle from Punchdrunk. Professional credits include the Donmar's West End transfer of Piaf at the Vaudeville Theatre and the 24 Hour Plays at the Old Vic.

Oliver Ashworth (Matt)

Born and brought up near Blackpool in the heart of Lancashire, Oliver moved to London four years ago to train at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. After graduating in June 2009, he spent his summer touring the UK with the street theatre company 'The Fairly Famous Family'.

Since the end of summer Oliver has starred in many new writing performances at the Theatre 503 and also at the first ever Bare Bones nights in January 2010. Since January he has shot several short films which are being registered into film festivals this summer but is very excited to be returning to The Old Red Lion for another performance in a Bare Bones evening.


Amani Zardoe (Sarah) represented Mountview at the 2010 Sam Wanamaker Festival at the Globe.

After spending two years on the acting course at EICAR - The International Film School of Paris, Amani was offered a place on the 3-year BA Hons Acting course at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. During her time there she played a variety of roles including the Slave in Ted Hughes' Oedipus, Lou in Jez Butterworth's The Winterling, Amanda Wingfield in Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie, Rosalind in As You Like It, Moretta and Valeria in Aphra Behn's The Rover, Arkadina in Chekhov's The Seagull, Benvolio in Romeo & Juliet, a Tribe member in Hair - The Musical, and most recently, Sarah Sprackling in Nick Dear's The Art of Success.

Amani has just recently completed her training at Mountview.


Hayley Emma Otway (Alison)

Training: Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts (BA Acting).

Hayley has performed several times at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, including Shakespeare for Breakfast (C Venues) and 'I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change!', which transferred to the Canal Café Theatre, London. Previous college credits include 'Helena' in A Midsummer Night's Dream, 'Violet' in The Fix and 'Barbara' in The York Realist. Hayley also took part in the workshop of The Tempest in Stratford with the RSC, and after leaving Mountview, went on to play 'Polly' in Crazy for You at the Palladium, Guest Lead Vocalist in a Gala Performance at her Majesty's Theatre, and 'Liz Imbrie' in High Society Upstairs at the Gatehouse for which she has been nominated Best Performance 2010 in the Off West End Awards.

Hayley is also a professional Choreographer and Director, having just finished as Assistant Director at the Union Theatre with Leanne Jones in 'Tick Tick Boom'. She is delighted to be appearing at The Old Red Lion's Bare Bones night!

Director

Ned Glasier set up Islington Community Theatre in 2008. He has also worked on Childhood and A Story and a Song (Company of Angels); You Me Us (Pyramid Theatre); Where Are We Going? (devised) and other projects for Almeida Projects, the Old Vic Theatre, Royal Lyceum Edinburgh, Watford Palace Theatre and Southwark Playhouse. He is a visiting director at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts and in 2007 conceived and directed a video project about HIV/AIDS for Theatre for a Change in Ghana.
