Playwrights can submit scripts directly to Bare Bones following the guidelines below.

Directors can contact Bare Bones direct to pitch ideas or to suggest writers that they would like to work with, and Bare Bones can assist in facilitating that partnership.

 Guidelines for pieces are:

• Pieces must be maximum 20 minutes long (approx. 15-20 pages)
• Extracts of full length plays are now welcome, but must be workable as a short play.
  
• Maximum 4 actors - but can play any number of roles
• Only set available is one table and 4 chairs
• No special lighting or sound effects
• Only very essential props - we work hard to abolish props completely
• Any style or theme welcomed
• Ideally plays must not have been performed in the UK previously (rehearsed readings are ok)
• Submit in PDF or Word format, with a brief detail about your previous experience as well as a short synopsis of the piece, by email or by clicking the link above.
