Take Part at a Bare Bones Night

Directing

For information on applying to be a director at a Bare Bones night, contact us.  Directors will need to be particularly resourceful and welcome the challenges that no budget fringe theatre brings. A very small allowance is provided to each director towards rehearsal space/actor expenses etc.  Should a director already have a writer in mind to work with, please contact us once you know what piece you'd like to use.

Backstage/Technical

Bare Bones requires a team to work alongside the cast during the dress and technical rehearsals as well as throughout the night of the show.  If you would like to gain some invaluable experience, are hard working and resourceful and willing to sacrifice a weekend then contact us

We require:

One DSM who is happy and confident to operate the lighting and sound board (Frog Board) - you just use whatever lights are rigged on the day, and do not move them at all.  Sound is basic and is operated via a laptop.

One Company Manager to be responsible for the backstage and front of house areas, including liaising with the box office and actors backstage to give clearance to the DSM, as well as taking tickets on the door and assisting the DSM with anything they may require.

Acting

Once directors have selected their play they will cast independently of Bare Bones although it is always helpful to have actors details on file, just send them by email to us here.  Look out for casting breakdowns for individual scripts in all the usual places - PCR, Spotlight, Cast Net etc.
